#381: The Worst Haircut, AI Gives a Helping Hand, & Sophie VS. Jersey City
+ Vincent Price in a Tarago, Jason re-appears on Comic Lab, The Infinite Sketchbook & Morris bails on the warm weather...
Sophie Runs the Jersey City Marathon
While I was snoring loudly at 5am Sunday morning, Sophie was already on the PATH train to Jersey City where she proceeded to run the full marathon. This was her 3rd full marathon in 6 months. She’s run so many half and full marathons these past few years that our fridge is running out of room for all the medals.
I would have cheered her on again like I did at the New York marathon but I just couldn’t convince Morris to leave the house… Day of Rest and all that. (He’s very religious you see.) She finished in good time and was back at sun-up for the traditional post-run nacho party.

Introducing Audio Posts!
I’ve been going to the locations in New York that I’ve written about and recording my pieces into my iPhone. The production quality isn’t exactly NPR, but it’s an unfiltered New York soundscape.

From Brad and Dave @ ComicLab:

ON TODAY'S SHOW
AI Lends a Helping Hand:
This week’s Sketchbook is pretty big. in fact it’s infinite!
Presenting…
While I do love the convenience of an iPad/Wacom/Xenselabs tablet… I can’t ever replicate the joy of using analog tools. I’m launching a new Substack called “Process Junkie” to explore all of the joys of the Process of making art. If you’re interested in that kind of thing, you can sign up here.
Until next time,
Your pal,
Jason
He’s not into the warm weather at all.
The AI result is beyond creepy. I wish I could unsee it.
Also I must know: what was on the nachos?
Looking forward to listening to the podcast interview!
