What a wonderful article written with admiration, love, , respect for your friend and fellow cartoonist. I love that cartoonists and comediennes have such a close knit group. We all need another realm we can escape to,, mine is all about dogs and fellow dog lovers.
I met him a few years ago at CXC. When I was in middle school this would have been a transcendent experience. I had a Groo cake for one of my birthdays. The cake decorator did their best
I also love Sergio. That was touching, a great post, except for one thing, gringo: It's spelled "Ojai". (I once bought a Mexican comic book called "Hermalinda Linda," about the adventures of an old witch. When she would laugh, it was spelled "je je je.")
