I am a stranger, but please know that I and so many other strangers are sending you our sincerest condolences and congratulations, unfortunately intermingled at this difficult time. I wish you many hugs from your loved ones. You gave Morris the best possible life, and he returned the favor.
Jason, I am so sorry for your loss. Morris was your family, a good friend who always loved you, a model who probably never sat still. I loved looking at his photos on your post, he was just adorable & you gave him the life that most dogs can only dream about. Congratulation too. I’m sure Morris was very proud of you.❤️from one of your fans, Barb
Jason, I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine the mix of emotions all coming together in that moment… You gave Morris the very best life, and captured him so beautifully in your artwork I think a lot of folks feel like they knew him too. I’m so sorry for your loss.
And so the Universe stays in balance - but boy howdy, what a way to manifest. Been here, done that with too many doggos - and I wouldn't wish the grief on my worst enemy. Never been there, done that for a Reuben (or any!) award - but so damn glad you did!!! Wishing you blessings, peace and furever memories...
Oh, Jason. I am so, so sorry. I know what you are going through right now because I am going through the same thing. My dog, Roscoe also passed away August 7. He was a much older boy, around 17. He was apparently an abandoned dog many years ago, so we took him in and gave him a happy home. A few years ago he developed an enlarged heart so he went on daily medication. He slowed down a bit but continued to stay by my side day and night. If he lost sight of me, he would find me and his whole little body smiled with relief. Friday morning he developed breathing problems, was taken to the Vet and despite being given oxygen, his heart gave out. I have been crying every day since and my heart is numb with grief. So I feel for you and your pain. It's horrible. Thank you for giving Morris the love and happy home he deserved. We will miss our goodest boys.
I’m so sad for you. I never underestimate the love that people have for their fur babies and how much Morris meant to you. Congratulations on your award and may these events in time not be entwined as one memory
I feel lucky to have met Morris when I did. It's always hard to say goodbye and hate to hear you were away when it happened. I know that hurts like a motherfucker. But Im glad you were surrounded by your community to catch you when you fell. You gave him the best life a sentient potato could ask for and he knew he was loved.
It feels so weird to "like" this post ... but in our digital world it's the closest thing to a hug I can offer. Thanks you for sharing Morris with us all these years ... and for letting us share the loss with you.

Having lost my ❤️ dog a couple of years ago, I can tell you…he’s ALWAYS going to be with you. My heartfelt condolences.
Oh man. What a story. What a dog.
Jason, your acceptance speech and your raw emotions were an honor to be there for. Thank you for trusting us to see you.
I'm so incredibly sorry
My favorite is the day you met. He was so scared and just clinging to you.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Jason.

"He wasn’t just a dog. He was a person. He was my person."
Yep, that's it right there. Only dog lovers know the truth of that. We're all hugging our fur babies and sending hugs to you Jason.

So sorry, Jason. You're a good human. Morris knew that.
