The cartoonist, author, snowman historian, and man who has somehow illustrated every great museum in North America, will join me for a chat this Thursday at noon.
Bob's ability to turn seemingly mundane subjects like bookstores and snowmen into compeling books is impressive. The format of drawing while interviewing sounds like it adds a whole other dimension to the converastion. Will you be sketching something related to snowmen or museums during the chat? Looking forward to seeing how you both navigate between serious craft talk and the natural chaos of live drawing.
Thanks for the kind words. I plan to be a royal pain-in-the-ass regarding going along with drawing while talking. Don't EVER doodle nor does it seem very polite to not give my undivided attention at the task on hand--sounding listenable. Not really sure how Jason does it. Kind of a parlor trick. Besides, consider drawing wildly overrated. Everything with me, as you already know because it sounds like you know my books, is color, hue and forms. Accuracy and rendering does not interest me. Let's continue this Thursday.
